Another way

There is also another way to change the ownership of a city to pirates.
In the game: Destroy all warehouses and markets on an opponents island! (only these buildings)
Then: Load the same game in the game editor, and place a pirate ship near the wearehouse of that island, and then place a new warehouse on the old one!

That's easy: Search for the word "STADT4" to find the structures for a city. If you take the "S" as Byte 0, then the owner is in byte 22.

0=red, 1=blue, 2=yellow, 3=white, 5=pirates, 6=natives

Please respond! (2)

Fortunately I allready know That this can be done with a Hex-Editor, and I work already 4 months with it!

But this is the problem:
I know, that you must search to the name of it, but I don't know witch thing the ownership of it desides!

Pirate's city

Not easy, Annomaster!

You have to tweak the scenario file with a hex editor at the right place. Currently there is no tool that could do it (this might change though ;-) )

Why sorry?

:O No need to apologize, Eric. I didn't take it as a criticism. :-)

The ugly old towers are just a means for the pirates to remember their origin! :D

By the way, if anybody has a good idea for a scenario using this feature, I would be glad to help.

Another idea I had was if a natives tribe had a monopoly on iron ore and a working tool production, you would have to get all your tools from the natives... no free traders of course. It's just that I'm not good on scenario making... maybe somebody has an idea for a story.

I didn't mean my last comment to be any kind of a put down. I guess what I ment was: to bad there aren't the nicer watchtowers to go with the nice warehouse IV, the palace and the fancy aristocrat houses. I guess to get that much into a pirate city requires getting into the program codes so it really is nice work. I sure wouldn't have a clue how to do it!
