Hello Family!

Yes, this scenario is one with a couple of my seriously guarded secrets like the "Jesus Soldiers". My scenarios have been uploaded to 11 different website locations since a week or 2 after the game came to the USA. But, I have to address why I stop uploading for so long, so many times and then I will give you the description. Sir Henry, please indulge me this.

Sorry, I haven't been here in a couple of years, but here are two of the reasons why. There are still folks who decide to upload scenarios that don't belong to them WITHOUT credit to or permission from the Author. No matter how nicely we ask folks, they insist on violating mine and other Authors' GENTLEMAN"S requests to never use Editors, Cheats, Trainers, etc. or put out spoilers concerning my (and others') scenarios. If you have no ability or desire to play without breaking that trust, then please, please don't download my scenarios or play them with someone who did. Currently I have 72 of my original scenarios on ONE of my many hard drives. I have several on each of my hard drives. A couple of you have already figured out Phillip the Great is my FIFTH uploading Screen name and what my name was originally. I hope folks will begin to honor our simple request to PLEASE not do these things. If you can't figure scenarios out, WRITE the authors and ask for a hint! Some of my scenarios have taken months (2 took years) to perfect. I stop sharing scenarios and change names and emails when folks violate this simple Gentleman's request. It just takes too long to create something so original, just to have a creep ruin it. Three of my (and your) favorite Authors have abandoned making scenarios for this reason. So please follow this simple request and you will be well rewarded with scenarios every week or two for YEARS and years to come, many with secrets like this one has. I know Authors like Dobber, Furdude2, Alex the Great, I and so many others would be very grateful.

All of that has needed to be said for years. The global 1602 community is rich with wonderful, precious and trust-worthy people. But, the actions of a few influence the benefits of many.

Description:

Now, this scenario is a PERFECT skills vs. skills scenario for two players. Its a 1602 game where nothing is left to chance. It is based on old classic Tiered board games. The "Board" is split in two and both players have exactly the same islands and resources. This is definitely not designed as a beginner's or average player's scenario, but it could turn patient beginner/average players into very good players by the end. So, I encourage you to download it and play with someone of your level of play. Be prepared for a long game and save often. But, it was designed as a scenario for more experienced players. You must work your way down the tiers and eventually at the bottom, the game is won.

This scenario does not work out well as a war scenario against the other human player. If you want an incredibly challenging version of this scenario for war, look very soon for Tiers of War . Also, I have designed another version that becomes pretty intense for one player called Tiers of Frustration.

Goals:

* Reach 1,500 people (100 Aristocrats) on the island at the very top of your Tiers.
* Overcome obstacles in each Tier as you work down your side, including defeating the AI player.
* Defeat all the Pirate ships.
* Capture the "Checkered Flag" (Pirate's Isle) and declare yourself the winner by putting up your own "Winner's Flag" over your warehouse on their island.

Notes:

If you play it right and don't peek and cheat, you will get to see the fabled "Jesus Soldiers" walk on water, be "buried" under the ground, and "rise" on another island. Both of the secrets in this scenario are not visible in any Editor, so, again there is no point. There are no "bugs" in this scenario. If it doesn't work for you, you missed something or used a cheat.

Special Note and acknowledgment:

Most of my CURRENT "special" scenarios wouldn't be possible without the HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of man hours it has taken the genius of the Utilities Authors and Creators with none having more of an impact on 1602 than the incomparable - Sir Henry. Thank you all for your incredible commitments to renewing interests in the ever new and changing world of 1602 with your creations!

Until the next upload, which I PROMISE, won't include anything not pertaining to the uploaded scenario, adieu,

Your Humble Servant,

Phillip The Great
